Digital Cameras 101

Below are some basic options of the most typical digital cameras of today that most casual photographers find confusing. These options are described here including some travel photography tips and tricks. The above three photos were taken by me.

Digital Photography

Digital cameras are confusing to a lot of new users. In this basic guide to digital camera technology we hope to try to give digital beginners at least some basis to use in deciding which digital camera is appropriate for them. When shopping for a digital camera it’s at least good to know what the basic terms like white balance, pixel, ppi and dpi mean and how they affect image and print quality. It’s also important to know the difference between things like optical zoom and digital zoom as well as the advantages and disadvantages between storage formats such as Compact Flash (CF), Micro drives, Sony Memory Stick, Secure Digital (SD), Multimedia and camera interface technologies such as USB 1.1, USB 2.0 and Fire wire IEEE 1394.

My new Nokia N8

I’ve been waiting restlessly for this phone since it’s release date. The advertisements, trailers, concepts etc were really amazing and I dreamt to own this phone for a long time..finally it has come true. I’m proud to be the owner of a Nokia N8!

The main thing I like about this phone it’s colossal camera quality. It’s picture and video quality is amazing. Images are sharp and colours are really vibrant and HD video makes this an ultra-portable camera device. I now usually use this instead of my digital cameras as it can take pictures and videos twice the quality of that camera.

Other things I like are is it’s multimedia capabilities. The music player got a revamped look which is awesome. It now features a cover flow like interface for browsing music. It’s really fun to use. Though I was expecting better sound quality.

The OS has also been improved than the earlier versions. This Symbian^3 OS, especially updating to Anna is now more stable and a bit more improved user friendliness. The new features are also cool. One of  my favorite is the FM transmitter. Etc.

The aluminum design is also a good choice. Though it’s a bit sluggish. (Without the cover)

Anyways, overally the Nokia N8 is a marvelous smartphone. It has great design. Excellent camera phone and Symbian now features much needed improvements with some minor shortcomings.

Still, I’m very happy to be a owner of a Nokia N8.

LINKIN PARK ROCKS!! LP 4 Life….forever…!!!!

Linkin Park …woo what a band man!!!

Their songs and albums are totally 1000% AWESOME!!!  Their rock and rap songs are more than 100% sure to get you in the groove.. and their classic songs are also very very based on real typical life of people..Some of their classic songs are enough to get a sad person happy or to make a sad person even more sad while some songs revive up the long past memories of life..it sometimes happens to me even.

Chester’s rock and classic, Mike’s rap and background and Phoenix’s, Rob’s, Brad’s, Joe’s etcs’ skills in instrument altogether carried this band to glory.

They’ve got awesome skills indeed and they know how to keep the tradition of a successful band alive.

I’ve heard many and many songs of Linkin Park. I liked almost all of them…but some of them made a difference in me.

My another new gaming rig

 

I’m a hardcore power gamer. Gaming is one of frequent activities of my life. I played many many and many action, adventure, strategic, racing etc games and accomplished almost all of them at least thrice.

Passed my Final Exam and got my new toy and my birthday

I was gone for a while till today. Sorry about that. My final examination was near and there was so much to study. I couldn’t keep on with the increased stress!

Anyways, that’s way behind you. The good news is that I passed the final examination with a very good result. I didn’t think that I would come this far! I thought I will fail! But with the help of Almighty Allah, my teacher and all those who prayed for me, along with my confidence and skills, I successfully passed. I now feel really happy and tension-free.

So I now think that I deserved something for this result..just after my dad bought me my new *toy*: this new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. This phone is so cool! I love it so much! Thanks dad! It’s a great gift!

But this was not only for my promotion to next class. This was also for my birthday on 14th December. And I got this the day before, and my exam ended  on 7th December.  That was the cake below. It was small because there was no party..but it was delicious.

I am now 14. Now I can play games and watch movies and enjoy other contents rated +13 (Teen) .

Speaking of which, I got a copy of the latest and the best racing game now, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit! (About which I told in the previous post). This game is soooo cool! I would rate it 10 out of 10! Thanks Criterion and EA.

So this was all of my best moments till this post. Hope to have more in the future ahead!

Upgraded my laptop’s RAM to 4GB..

Well, In case I forgot to tell you that I’m a serious gamer who likes power-gaming with heavy, 3D graphics.

But my laptop was shipped with 2GB of RAM and from it only 1.87 GB was usable, the missing ones were dedicated for graphics.

But on Friday, October 29, 2010. I found my laptop back to me upgraded with a powerful 4GB RAM after I had sent it before that day. Thanks to one of my family members.

Now that I’ve got it, I can now do serious power-gaming. My car in a race drivers faster than ever, my gun in a mission fires like the speed of light and everything loads up faster. I also got a spare 1GB of shared and dedicated graphics memory, in half.

Now….Who wants to challenge me? I’m always ready for some serious action!
